Not a political statement here, but an ideological one. Changing your mind in the face of new information, changing circumstances, or clear evidence that the current course isn’t working, that’s not a weakness of character, that’s a virtue. You don’t steer a ship by tying off the wheel, saying “job done,” and putting your feet up. You set the course and steer it, and if it heads you for the rocks, you look for a new course.
