The oft-used “Santa in a Bar” shot shows up yet again.
This is quite clearly the origin of “Doctor Santa,” though I ended up taking it in a completely different direction. Not a bored Santa turned bad, but an embittered fake Santa coming up with advanced technology and taking his mission in a totally wrong direction. Also, not called “Doctor Beard.” “Doctor Beard” sounds like a villainous member of ZZ Top, or perhaps a new screen role for Wil Wheaton…
